Peter B. Schofield, Esq.

Education

Mr. Schofield completed his undergraduate studies at Thomas Aquinas College and earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) at Ave Maria School of Law. Mr. Schofield was a participant in the 38th National Robert F. Wagner Labor and Employment Law Moot Court Competition hosted by New York School of Law and was credited as an editor in The Rule of Law at the Crossroads: Consequences of Targeted Killing of American Citizens, Utah Law Review 2011.

Legal Career

Upon graduating from Ave Maria School of Law, Mr. Schofield moved to Boston where he worked for the Massachusetts Department of Revenue Litigation Bureau and in two private litigation firms – Williams & Associates and Barclay Damon. All three of these experiences provided extensive development in trial advocacy.

In 2017, Mr. Schofield moved back to his wife’s hometown of Front Royal, Virginia. He worked in the Shenandoah Valley at McCarthy & Akers and subsequently had the opportunity to clerk for the Constitutional and Specialized Tort Division of the Department of Justice (DOJ). He clerked for the DOJ for four years and established further proficiency in trial proceedings.

Mr. Schofield has focused his practice to traffic law in Virginia and is proud to serve the Shenandoah Valley.

Personal Life

Mr. Schofield lives in Front Royal, Virginia with his wife and seven children. He enjoys spending time with his family and taking day trips throughout the Blue Ridge Mountains and along the Shenandoah River. Mr. Schofield also currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Shenandoah Shores Property Owners Association.
